DANIEL (CLOSE) REVELATION TO JOHN THE BELOVED (OPEN)

“And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto Heaven and sware by him tat liveth for ever that It shall be for a time, times, and an half: and when he shall accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? And he said, go thy way, Daniel: for the words are CLOSED up and SEALED till the time of the end.  (Daniel 12: 7-9)

“Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the saying of the prophecy of this book. And I John saw these things, and heard them, And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. Then he saith unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren the prophets and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. And he saith unto me, SEAL NOT the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

He that is unjust let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. * And behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.** Revelation 12: 7-13 )

Daniel was told to close up and seal the book till the time of the end which he did, but John the beloved revelator was told by Jesus Christ himself seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book for the time is at hand, this he also did expecting that CHRISTIANS of all ages since the publication of the Book of Revelation will make it their daily working manual bearing in mind that the time is long spent and that the savior will suddenly appear in the sky. Is it not curious and mysterious that men are scared of touching the Book of Revelation much less teach it in the Churches? They prefer messages of prosperity and destruction of their enemy rather than be told that the kingdom of God is at hand. Those who teach Holiness without which no man can see the Lord are mocked and despised, and many have been co-opted into the prosperity Bandwagon. They fail to understand that the world passeth away, and the lust thereof; but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. “Little Children, (that’s exactly what the present day Christians are) it is the last time: and as ye have heard that an-ti-christ shall come, even now are there many an-ti-christs: (please note the plural) whereby we know it is the last time. If it was the last time then, it means we have no time left for us to enjoy all the stupendous wealth we are busy accumulating to our hurt on earth today. What shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and loose his soul? What shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Your soul is more precious to its owner, which was why He sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ to come and redeem you on the cross of Calvary. Jesus was the last sacrifice of God to bring fallen man back to him, receive Him or reject him the choice is yours.  Brethren, get back to the track, Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; and make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way: but let it rather be healed. Follow peace with all men, and Holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. We came into the world with nothing and for sure will leave with nothing, Heaven is real and hell awaits sinners, the heavens and earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly med. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Jesus is the answer, He is the mediator of the new covenant, He is currently sitting at the right hand of God pleading for the failure of man, but shall we continue in sin till Grace abound? God forbid, let all men be liars and God be truth. Take a bold step of faith shake off the world and all its temptation and join the heavenly train, its come your way for reading this post, we have a better home above, we have come to mount Zion and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to the innumerable company of angels, to the general assemble and church of the first born, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all and to the spirits of just men made perfect. The love of God through Jesus Christ is far better than the entire world put together. God has promised you peace of mind through his only begotten son who is the prince of peace on earth and above all eternal life after death.

“Now the God of peace that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the ever-lasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ: to whom be glory for ever and ever Amen. The reference to the "Great Whore of Babylon: is always in the feminine and never in the masculine. Listen to the description that the "Great Whore" gives
herself.

Revelation 18:07  ...for she saith in Her heart, I sit as a queen
                                                                                                             and am no widow

There are 46 verses between Revelation chapters 17 and 18 and the first four verses of chapter 19.

In those 46 verses (1,260 words):

                                                39 Times referenced as           "her"
                                                  7 Times referenced as           "she"
                                                  6 Times referenced as           "woman"
                                                  5 Times referenced as           "whore"
                                                  1 Time referenced as             "harlots"
                                                  1 Time referenced as a          "widow"
                                                  1 Time referenced as             "herself"
                                                  1 Time referenced as             "mother"

61 references to the "Great Whore of Babylon" as feminine. The only masculine verses in the text in this section are those referring to the "beast" that she sits upon.

Whatever the "Great Whore of Babylon" is, it involves women.

The verses in Revelation are referring to the "judgment' of the "Great Whore" which is not defining its character but rather her actions (sins). These "sins' for which the "judgement" is rendered give us additional clues as to the "Great Whore" These "sins" are though out the bible under similar names.

Third:       The church of Jesus Christ has people participating in the activities (sins) of the "Great Whore". But it specifies that only part of the church or rather individuals of the church itself are partakers - not the church as a whole. Further it states that the general population of the world is heavily involved (non-church goers as well as non Christians).

Revelation 02:18     And unto the angel of the church of Thyatira write;
                            these things saith the Son of God,
                            who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire,
                            and his feet like fine brass;

         Note: Out of the 7 churches Jesus is speaking to just one of his churches
           the church of Thyatira and not just to this specific church but to  certain individuals in the church.

Revelation 02:19    I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

Revelation 02:20    Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee,
                            because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel,
                            which calleth herself a prophetess,
                            to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication,
                            and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

                            Note: One of "Jezebel's" sins was to "teach' Jesus servants. The Apostle Paul clearly states that a "woman" is not to teach 1 Timothy 2:12.

Revelation 02:21     And I gave her space to repent of her fornication;
                            and she repented not.

Revelation 18:04    And I heard another voice from heaven, saying,
                            come out of her my people,that ye be not partakers of her sins,
                           and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Fourth:    The name written on her forehead (Revelation 17:05).

               "Mystery, Babylon the great, The Mother of Harlots and Abominations of the Earth"

                Sodom Gomorrah (13 letters)

                Genesis Chapter 13 verse 13 has thirteen words.

                "But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly"
                         
                There are only three references to people that are exceedingly wicked.

                Sodom & Gomorrah know for sodomites

                And Jerusalem noted for being worse than Sodom & Gomorrah in Ezekiel Chapter 9 and again in chapter 16.

Most people that have read the bible associate the reference to the “Great Whore of Babylon” to the book of Revelation. However, the Great Whore of Babylon is all through the bible, having its beginning in the book of Genesis. The book of Revelation is dealing with the judgment of the “Great Whore of Babylon”.

But what is the “Great Whore of Babylon” and what is the sin that is judged?

To understand, perhaps we should look at the life of Jesus.  He was not recognized as the messiah when he was on the earth, because he didn’t fit the expected profile of what people expected the messiah to be. He wasn’t the conquering king that liberated the Jews and Jerusalem from the Romans.  How could this man, that was obliviously not a warrior, be the physical liberator of the Jews?

Yet, his teachings, (or idea’s) are with us today and He is revered as “The Son of God” by Christians world wide, while the Roman Empire is nothing but dust and old ruins. The phrase “the pen is mightier than the sword” is really saying that an idea is more powerful than a conqueror.

So to understand the "Great Whore of Babylon", and even the "Anti-Christ", we must not make the same mistake of expecting a certain profile. Perhaps it is not an earthly organization that you can point a finger at and say here it is.

For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power (1 Corinthians 04:20). Or could we say in the kingdom of God, His word is power.  

Jesus said take heed that no man deceive you. It is not really the man that deceives you, but his words or his thoughts. Thoughts come and go we need to be very careful of which thoughts we accept, for if we don’t we could be deceived. "Ideas" or "thoughts" are the real power. We can, as Lucifer, accept a "thought" that "I am equal to God",  and that thought is sin, because it is contrary to God. The acceptance of that "thought" caused Lucifer to be cast out of the presence of God (Isaiah 14:13-14).

 

We can all agree that if we think that we are going to fail at something, our chances of success are greatly diminished because we have accepted a thought of defeat.

The "thought", "idea" or "belief" that Jesus was raised from the dead and is Lord and Savior has the power to transform us into new creatures that will go to heaven and spend eternity with God. If one rejects that "thought", he is not reborn and goes to hell.

A single "thought", or "idea" if you will, has on more than one occasion changed the world we live in.

So one should not be surprised that the battle for man kind is in the mind. That’s why Jesus didn’t come the first time as a conqueror and physical liberator, because that’s not where the battle was. He came to give man a new "thought" that was far more powerful than simply overthrowing the, then, ruling Roman government. But we, two thousand years later, are still talking about what Jesus said.

Now the revelation of the "Great Whore of Babylon" is realizing where the battle lies. It’s not a person or organization, per say, but a "thought", an "idea" a "belief".

What could be such an important and powerful "idea" that the Apostle John marveled at? An "idea" that when cast down, all of creation would rejoice?

In Genesis 03:16 KJV God said "Unto the woman he said", I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children" (a curse for sinning);

"and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee." (a command of God).

The revelation of the “Great Whore of Babylon” is the "idea":

                    “That woman is equal with man”.

The prophecy about the judgment of the “Great Whore of Babylon” is referring to those who have accepted the "idea" that “woman is Equal with man”. 

The "great city" is a reference to a great collection of thoughts associated with, and based on new age ideas regarding women. 

“Babylon” is the law and the intellect of our time.

“Waters” represent the peoples of the earth.

“Kings of the earth” are the rulers and lawmakers of our time. Who with all their power and might don’t dare to contend with such an “idea”. In fact they prepare their laws to support and defend

the "idea" to illicit favor of those support it.
 

This "thought", "idea" or belief and the collection of associated "thoughts" that only become possible as a result of the primary "idea"
“that woman is equal to man” are contrary to God.

“Muslims believe that all the Prophets and Messengers who have come into the world to guide mankind were from one and the same God who created the universe. Thus, Prophets Ibrahim (Abraham), Ismail (Ishmael) Ishaq (Isaac), Musa (Moses), Daud (David), Isa (Jesus) and Muhammad (SWA) as well as others who preceded them or came in-between them brought the same message of monotheism through which mankind was counseled to worship one God and be upright in conduct.

As a Muslim, you cannot Believe in one of those Apostles and disbelieve in others. Neither can you believe in one of the revealed Books while disbelieving in others. That is why no true adherent of Islam will ever express foul language against the person of JESUS (CHRIST). Though the modalities for worship may differ from faith to faith and from sanctuary to sanctuary this does not change the course of their faith in only one God. Thus, the RIVALRY between Muslims and Christians especially in Nigeria over who is spiritually right or wrong is a product of IGNORANCE.

As thought by Christianity and Islam through their respective revealed Books, the areas of life that need our cooperation are by far more comprehensive than those in which we differ. For instance, both the Bible and the Qur’an counsel humanity to worship one God. They preach good deeds to neighbors and other fellow human beings in public and in private irrespective of religious linage. They advocate good care of our parents, our children, the aged ones amongst us and the handicapped. They urge kindness to our wives and leniency with our adversaries. They admonish us against cheating and any form of corruption. They forbid theft, adultery, fornication, homosexuality, lesbianism and above all the killings of fellow human beings extra-judicially for whatever reason. They also warm us against provocation, aggression, exploitation and transgression even as they emphasize the ephemerality of this world and the eventuality of the hereafter. In all these we have a common affinity to jointly guard.

The few areas in which we differ are abstract and quite personal. They are not areas in which human beings are given the power to pass judgment. Only the Almighty God can judge on them. Such are the areas which we believe will pave our ways towards Paradise. But since paradise is for individuals and not for religious blocks why are we fighting each other? After the entire journey to Paradise or Hell is a matter of choice for every individual. And no one can tell with precision who will go to Paradise or go to Hell. Such is the prerogative of God which He has net assigned to any human being and which no human being can and should arrogate to himself or herself except one who wants to play GOG!!!

As an adherent of a religion, you can only perceive your God according to your faith and that should not cause any rancor between you and adherents of any other religion. As Nigerians, we dwell in the same country, eat the same foods, drink the same water, wear similar dresses trade in the same markets and spend the same money, our children attend the same schools write the same examinations, and obtain the same certificates. We intermarry across tribes and ethnicities as well as religions, all these form a stronger bond that ought to unite us much more than the abstract ones which often threaten to separate us. In a situation where the factors, of life that unite us grossly surpass those that divide us, will it not be stupid to sacrifice unity and cooperation?

This is the time for change. We cannot wait any longer. Let the Christians in Nigeria engage in Crusade and the Muslims in Jihad against all vices in the society which their two revealed Books (Bible and Qur’an) abhor. Let all of us jointly work towards upholding the values of work towards upholding the values of life as contained in the Bible and the Qur’an that we may find ourselves in a new world of peace and harmony in the very near future.
