Based upon these isolated verses, slaveowners claimed that the Bible supported slavery and taught slaves to be obedient to their masters.
On the surface, this certainly appears true. However, When looking at the evidence, one has to remember that the Bible was created in a time when slavery was certainly condoned. Paul’s letters mention slavery so often because Christianity appealed to slaves. Many slaves converted to the new religion of Christianity because of Christianity’s message of justice and freedom. (1 John 1:9) None of the above preachers are saved anymore because they continue to teach heresies denying the Lord who once bought them. (2 Pet 2:1) And this isn't a debate or arguing over doctrine- its exposing these heretics for who they are…enemies of the cross!!! These ministers teach the heretical blasphemy Jesus died spiritually and had to be born again. Tragically, this a perfect example of teachers trampling the blood of the Son of God underfoot that once sanctified them!! (Heb. 10:29)
